Day-to-day facilities support, maintenance, and cleaning

The Building Services group ensures a safe and sustainable UBC by providing exceptional campus-wide cleaning, day-to-day support and maintenance of electrical, gas, and water, storm, potable and sewage utilities and facilities management. This group can also assist with small renovation jobs and maintains the university’s Technical Guidelines, the code of quality and performance for the design, construction and renovation of university-owned institutional buildings.

Architectural trades services

Architectural trades are responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of building systems, including building envelope and structural integrity.

Construction office

Through our construction office we provide renovation and construction services using in-house trades for projects valued up to $50,000.

Custodial services

Our custodial team provides cleaning services and locking and unlocking of exterior doors, and set up for University functions and events including final exams and Congregation ceremonies.

Facilities management

Facilities managers can help with any building-related problems and connect you to a range of custom services.

Mechanical & electrical trades services

The group's responsibilities include the maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, and everyday maintenance.
