EMMS UPDATE
With input from staff across Building Operations, Energy and Water, Chemistry, SHHS, and UBC faculty reps, the Enterprise Maintenance Management System (EMMS) software evaluation committee has selected a vendor with a product well suited to the needs of our organization. At this time, vendor negotiations are underway and UBC Board of Governors’ approval is pending in April to sign a contract.
In preparation for the onsite arrival of the selected software vendor, the EMMS Project Team will meet with teams from BOPs, EWS and Chemistry Stores to validate current state processes, understand pain points, and identify opportunities to simplify processes.
Thank you to everyone for providing invaluable information and insights which will help accelerate the software vendor’s understanding of UBC. In early spring, we will set up working groups to work with the selected vendor. Stay tuned for the upcoming EMMS website. JOHSC WILL BE ELECTING/RE-ELECTING MEMBERS BY MARCH 31.
All Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committees (JOHSC) will need to elect/re-elect members by March 31st. The committees’ meeting will start April 1st, 2019. Please put some thought to whether you would be interested in joining one of the committees. Feel free to ask one of the committee members what their responsibilities entail. More information will be distributed through your local JOHSC reps.
