VAN POOL PROGRAM UPDATE

Many employees have been asking for help to organize Van Pools – we heard you, Campus and Community Planning took the lead and have been working with several departments across campus through 2018 to make this reality.

Just before the Christmas break, sessions were held with Modo and Translink to discuss Van Pools. Great news – Thanks to your participation, several Van Pools have been created.

Both TransLink and Modo are working with participants and UBC parking to get everything set-up on campus. Modo is also working to get vehicles and parking spots in neighbourhoods around the vanpool driver’s home.  If all goes according to plan the VanPools will be in operation in Spring 2019.

More details on these first VanPools and how you can join this program will be shared over the next few months. Stay tuned for more details.
