COME HAVE FUN AT THE ICE CREAM SOCIAL THIS THURSDAY!
Customer Experience THANK YOU TO ALL OUR CREWS THAT HELPED MAKE CONGRESS A MASSIVE SUCCESSA big thank you to all our crews that helped make Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences a massive success! There were approximately 10,400 registrants for Congress 2019, making it the biggest Congress yet. Collectively we spent over 1,000 hours to get ready for Congress and responding to Congress related calls. Gabriel Miller, Executive Director for the Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences described UBC as being one of the most breath taking locations, both grounds and facilities. The extraordinary outdoor and indoor spaces that everyone enjoys while working, learning, teaching and visiting UBC is a direct result of the exceptional work you do. Asset Stewardship

UBC UNITED WAY RECIPIENT OF UWLM SPIRIT AWARDS UBC has been awarded the United Way Local Love in Action Spirit Award! This award recognized the UBC community, its donors and volunteers, for their tremendous contributions which enable the United Way to bring innovative programs and projects to our local neighbourhoods. Members of the UBC United Way executive team accepted the award at the annual Spirit Awards event earlier this spring. Thank you for your ongoing support of the UBC United Way Campaign. This award illustrates that when the UBC community comes together with the passion and actions to drive positive social change, we can be the catalyst that helps find community-driven solutions to critical challenges that people in our neighbourhoods face every day. The United Way of the Lower Mainland believes that everyone – from vulnerable kids and isolated seniors, to residents struggling to feel like they belong – deserve to be engaged and supported. As a way to recognize and thank hardworking volunteers and generous donors, the United Way of the Lower Mainland acknowledges your contributions through this award.
