Spreading some holiday cheer at UBC Hospital’s Patient Park

After the water feature was shut down at UBC Hospital’s Patient Park for the winter months, lights were installed in the park to spread some holiday cheer! Building Operations’ Streets & Operations Support (SOS) team wanted to brighten the park for patients and staff that regularly use the space, and as a tribute to healthcare workers.

Demolition underway at DH Copp Building

After almost 60 years of service, the DH Copp Building is handed over to UBC Properties Trust and behind construction fencing. This is the first step to the demolition of  the building which will take place in Spring 2021.

Robin Shortt & Ingrid Lindner joins the EMMS Sustainment team

We are happy to announce that we have now filled two additional positions on the EMMS Sustainment team — Business Analyst and Systems Analyst. Robin Shortt will take on the Business Analyst role for the EMMS Sustainment team, and Ingrid Lindner joins the EMMS Sustainment team as Systems Analyst.

Tarkan Serim joins Building Operations as team lead for the EMMS Sustainment Team

Tarkan will be leading the Enterprise Maintenance Management System (EMMS) Sustainment Team and will be responsible for EMMS issues resolution, back log management, product management, vendor release management, and will be a key member of the EMMS Steering Committee. This is a new position reporting into Building Operations’ Customer Services & Informatics unit.
