EAOS: current state storyboards posted in USB main hallway

Following our very successful fact finding sessions, we need your help and feedback to validate that the information we’ve gathered.

To make this process as transparent as possible, we’ve assembled all of the data collected so far into storyboards. On display in the main USB hallway, the first set of storyboards (closest to the main entrance) illustrate campus-wide performance trends at a high level followed in alphabetical order by 4 posters for each department reflecting data specific to each area.

To contribute, please write your ideas on the post-it notes provided or directly on the storyboards. We are looking for your feedback on:

  • Assets
  • How we’re organised
  • Support systems
  • Data from fact finding sessions
  • Performance trends

The storyboards will be available to all for feedback until the end of April.

No Parking on East Mall

Please refrain from parking on East Mall by Hennings, Chemistry, or Abdul Laha buildings. Vehicles are being ticketed and towed. We have asked the assistance of Parking and Access to find suitable ways to access our work sites. In the interim, plan ahead and contact Brian Jones in Parking to work on specific solutions.

New faculty and staff pages now live at faculty-staff.ubc.ca

Marketing and Communications has been hard at work creating a staff section on UBC.ca for the entire UBC population. These pages have been designed to provide you with timely updates, the opportunity to learn about each other, and to connect to relevant resources and events happening in Vancouver and the Okanagan. You can check the new section out at faculty-staff.ubc.ca.

Newsletters now archived on Building Operations Staff page

Starting January, every Thursday we have sent out the Building Operations email newsletter. And, you have sent us back a lot of useful feedback to keep improving.

One piece of feedback we heard repeatedly is that it would be handy to have an archive of past issues. There are a lot of reasons why this is helpful, so we made it a priority to build an archiving system.

Please check out the all new archives and keep sharing your feedback on how we can improve both the newsletter and communications within Building Operations.
